Pilates one-to-one

I have 30 years experience in the health and fitness industry. During this time I have been a fitness instructor, sports therapist and for 5 years the general manager of a busy health and fitness club.

I have been teaching Pilates since 2000. My formal training and certification was from the Pilates Institute of London. During 2012, I  joined Balanced Body Education LLC to train as a Pilates Teacher Trainer. As a Balanced Body Master Instructor, I am certified to run Pilates teacher training courses for Mat, Reformer and other Apparatus. I am also certified to run courses for Anatomy in 3 Dimensions.

Balanced Body is the world’s largest Pilates organisation. My studio is an authorised Balanced Body Training Centre, one of only three in the UK. I regularly attend workshops and training modules to further advance my own knowledge.

Pilates Master Instructor

I am proud to be a Balanced Body Master Instructor. I have a Masters in Kinesiology and a Masters in Sports Medicine. As a US Skating Association Member, I was introduced to Pilates as a form of rehabilitation from an injury sustained during my competitive figure skating career. As a nationally ranked figure skater, I had tried many different types of body connection and awareness training, yet during my Pilates rehabilitation I experienced transformations in my body which allowed me to return to the ice stronger and more centred than I had ever been. This “ah-ha” moment led me to find my true passion: Pilates. Upon retirement from competitive figure skating, I began to study and teach Pilates. I have had the privilege of studying with world renowned Pilates teachers and specialists. In 2015 I became a Pilates Teacher Trainer and a Balanced Body Master Instructor.
